THE 2007 2008 SEASON SCHEDULE AND SCORES

November 9, 2007 {HOME GAME}
NOBLESVILLE AT KOKOMO
Noblesville came to Kokomo to play and play they did as in the junior varsity game, it was nip and tuck the whole game. Kokomo kept a lead throughout but in the end, it was Noblesville who came out the winners. Our ladies showed a lot of desire and good floor play and they will improve as the season goes on. Our JV team lost 36 to 31 but don't give up on them as this season is just getting started.

In the varsity game , again the Millers fought a great game and they almost pulled it out in the final seconds, but Kokomo hung on by the thin thread of desire and defense and came out the winners in this game. Look for improvement each game as this team has some raw talent and as the season goes on, our defense will pick up and our offense will profit from it. The big girl in the post looked good with some moves under the basket and our ladies will go to her whenever she can get open. Our backcourt will improve as we go game to game and we should get good scoring from them. Rebounding will get better as the ladies up front adjust to their assignments. Kokomo led at all stops in this one and seem to have great control but they let the Millers get some good looks and that cost them. Our Varsity took this game as the close score of 50 to 48. They go to Huntington next week to play in their invitational. Go LadyKats.

November 16, 2007 {AWAY}
KOKOMO AT HUNTINGTON NORTH {INVITE}
KOKOMO VERSUS OAK HILL
On a cold evening at the Huntington North Invitational, it was our LadyKats taking on Oak Hill and the Golden Eagles showed everyone why they are ranked #2 in Class 2A basketball. The game started off with Kokomo looking like they were going to control the game early on the offensive boards but when the Golden Eagles got the ball, it didn't take them long to get it downcourt and into their basket. Oak Hill has one of the most promising big girls this year at 6 ft 4 inches and she knew how to get the job done quick and easily. Kokomo did own the boards and they forced a lot of Oak Hill turnovers, but the shooting on this night just wasn't doing the job and our ladies got into serious foul trouble and that hurt us as we mounted an attack late in the game. Kokomo tried to play catch up the whole game and really it looked like they might be able to pull this one out. But Oak Hill is very good and the loss that our ladies received tonight can do two things. It can get a team down and hurt the rest of the season or it can be a learning tool , giving the team a lesson learned that will benefit the team. I believe that we will learn from this game and we will prevail. We need to work on our outside shooting and our inside board game. We will need to be able to use the forced turnovers to put points on the board. Our ladies will take on Arlington on Saturday and maybe we will see if the team did profit from the loss.
Oak Hill won this game tonight by a score of 75 to 67. GO LADY WILDKATS.
November 17, 2007 {AWAY}
KOKOMO AT HUNTINGTON NORTH {INVITE}
KOKOMO VERSUS ARLINGTON
Game starts at 1PM
The LadyKats today took on Arlington just several hours after losing to Oak Hill on Friday. It was a wakeup call for our ladies who not only woke up but they went into this game with the knowledge that any team on any given night can knock off the other team, regardless of size and where the other team is from. Kokomo led by nine at the 1st quarter stop and at half-time 22 to 14 lead into the locker room. Kokomo maintained their lead throughout the game and put this one in the books as a win. You might say that the 3rd quarter was the telling point of this game as Kokomo outscored Arlington 17 to 8. The offensive game was balanced and Kokomo kept the defensive effort on Arlington and all around this was a good game to get back on the top side of the win lose column. Kokomo showed that you can learn from a loss and I bet they learned a lot about winning too.
Kokomo won this game by a score of Kokomo 49, Arlington 37. Great game ladies. "GO LADY WILDKATS"
                                                                         November 20, 2007 {AWAY}
KOKOMO AT HARRISON
Kokomo Lady Wildkats took their game to West Lafayette on this Tuesday evening to take on the Harrison Raiders, and they did the job well as they showed a lot of poise and team improvement. The reserve team had just lost their game by a score of 40 to 32, and this night was not going to be one without at least one victory for our ladies. After a big 1st quarter, Kokomo was up 16 to 4, increased the lead to 30 to 14 at the half, and 53 to 26 after 3 quarters. The game was won by our LadyKats by a score of 69 to 47, and now have won 3 out of 4 games so far. Look for The LadyKats to improve as the season goes along and maybe the outside game will get better. A little better selection of the places to shoot that 3 point shot will greatly improve as we go game to game. Our LadyKats are out there representing us and they need our paticipation in the stands. Great game tonight by our LadyKats and look for more. Once again Kokomo won by the score of 69--47

MUNCIE CENTRAL AT KOKOMO
Muncie Central came to "our house" and our LadyKats responded at being a good host by playing them in the 1st NCC game of this season. Our Junior Varsity put some hurt on Muncie's JV squad by beating them 32 to 16. It wasn't that easy in the varsity game though. After a tight 1st quarter led by Kokomo 15 to 13, our ladies began to get a little working room and increased their lead to 26 to 20 at the half. They continued to increase the lead and at the 3rd quarter mark, it was 39 to 28. Looks like maybe this game will be easy to win, but nobody told Muncie , and the shots started to fall for Muncie Central. Kokomo with a 42 to 30 lead with six minutes left had to hold on to get a win as Muincie started hitting the 3 pointers and all of a sudden Muncie was whitin one at a score of 44 to 43. Kokomo then got some points from their senior Katie, and then Woodard was the finisher with 3 points to preserve victory for Kokomo. Muncie Central is a team that come season's end will be a great team. Kokomo is still blending the defense and offense into a pattern, that will come tourament time, benefit them greatly.  Kokomo took this game 52 to 48 and now are 4 & 1

KOKOMO AT LOGANSPORT
It was berry picking at the Berry Bowl on this Saturday afternoon, and our ladies found out that the berries were not ready to be picked as Logansport gave Kokomo all it had and forced an overtime before Kokomo was able to win this game. In the game Kokomo shot at least half their shots from the 3 point line and only made 5 of the 25 they attempted. Our ladies were behind by 2 points, but made a drive to the basket for 2 points and so an overtime was needed to settle this game. This game at the 1st quarter mark was 8 to 7 in favor of Logansport and Logan led at the half 17 to 15, but the LadyKats took the game to Logan in the 3rd quarter, out scoring them 11 to 5 and led at 3 quarters by the score of 26 to 22. Logan out rebounded Kokomo on the boards by 30 to 28. In this game Kokomo made all of their free throws and they were very important in this contest. This game ended with Kokomo taking a hard fought win by the score of 41 to 39. They are 2 and 0 in the NCC.
To say that this game was a pivotal one would be a correct saying as our ladies showed that even though you have some bad shooting and you run up against a pretty strong defense, you can utilize the things learn in practice to even the game up. You need team play, team spirit, fan support, and all around guts to say to the other team that you have to beat me because I won't beat myself. Great job LadyKats, and continue to learn as you win or lose because come tourney time, you will need it. The final score of this game was 41 to 39

WESTERN AT KOKOMO
It seems like when Kokomo and Western go at each other in basketball, all records and polls go by the wayside as each school brings out the best of the other. Tonight was no different as our LadyKats and the Western Panthers took the floor. In the first half, it looked like Kokomo had closed the door and was heading for an easy win, having a 24 point lead, but someone forgot that Western never gives up, regardless of how far they are behind. Western let the 3 point shots dictate a run that got them within 4 points at 48 to 44, and it was kind of scary at that point. But Kokomo was able to hold on by hitting 6 free throws while, while limiting any more points by Western. Western is a team that goes on pride and big fan support along with never die attitude, and they play the game well. Kokomo is a team that can blow a game wide open, but sometimes they forget that they have to defend against that 3 pointer. They need to brush up on their outside shooting as the game goes on, and they need to utilize the big girl under the basket. All in all, this season, our Ladies have played a good game but they can be better and I think they will be. Watch for them to get some real tests in the next several games as some real good programs wil be tested and the ups and downs will blend into an upward learning program. Anyway our LadyKats won this game by a score of 54 to 44, and the Junior Varsity won their game 31 to 19.

HUNTINGTON NORTH AT KOKOMO
Huntington North came to town to play our LadyKats, on this chilly Saturday afternoon, and you might say that they brought the cold inside to freeze our ladies, as Huntington enjoyed a great 1st quarter, and our ladies had a cold one. Huntingon took off fast and took the ball right at Kokomo, and we were suddenly trying to pull ourselves out of a deep hole trailing at the end of the quarter 18 to 7. Oh, what a hole we fell into, but as always Kokomo uses team ball and fan support, to crawl out of any hole and slowly but surely, they did get out and worked their way back up the scoring ladder until they had a five point lead 42 to 37 with 52 seconds left. But, no one told Huntington that they had lost yet, and they were able to tie this game up at 42 to 42. Kokomo had a chance to win it with 11 seconds to go, but they hurried the ball up the court, and because of some close contact, not seen by the referees, Kokomo turned the ball over. North then had a chance to win it in regulation time but missed the shot.
In the overtime, it was back and forth with the lead, but North prevailed and took the victory.
North came into Kokomo with a good game plan and they got our center into foul trouble and they took the ball to the LadyKats quick and with authority. Kokomo never gave up even though they dug themselves into a deep hole and they showed that no matter what the score is, that you can do it if you don't give up. Both of these two teams have great programs, and down the line they might have another chance to play each other come tourney time. Kokomo learned a lot from this game, and watching the game films will help them where they need it. Although we lost this one today, we have to learn from it and we have to remember that this is Indiana basketball at it's finest and any tean regardless of size and records, can defeat the other. Well anyway, this game was won by Huntington North by the score of 53 to 49.
The LadyKats play Carmel next and they can expect a good team to show up.

CARMEL AT KOKOMO
It was another cool night both outside and inside as Carmel sent the Greyhounds into Kokomo to play our LadyKats. The 1st quarter saw slippery ball handling and cold shooting as our ladies managed to hold a 10 to 9 at that mark. But then Carmel woke up from it's sleep to handle Kokomo and it was 21 to 16 at the half. Then after getting some good coaching advice during the break, our ladies looked like they would overpower Carmel as they dominated the 3rd quarter. But that last quarter was one that hurt the most as Kokomo had the ball with 13 seconds left in the game. Drake took the ball right at Carmel, and then dished the ball off to Hopkins who put us ahead by 2 points. But as it was in the game before, one of the referees called us with a charging foul that took away the goal and gave Carmel a chance to win in regulation time. They missed and this game went into overtime. Then, in that overtime that should of never been, Carmel took care of the ball and took this game by the score 44 to 38. It is needless to say that fouls hurt us and ball handling was not in a controlable use, but then we know that in every game there is a winner and a loser. On this night Carmel was the better team but remember we learn from each loss and come tourney time, there might be a rematch of these two schools and all we can say right now is to learn and to get better.  Carmel won tonight 44 to 38.

KOKOMO AT MARION
Our Lady Wildkats went to Marion on this chilly snowy day to take on a good Giant team and the results were not what we wanted to see. Kokomo led at all stops except the one that counted and they lost for the 3rd staight game. Kokomo led at the 1st quarter mark 13 to 11, 31 to 25 at the half, & 47 to 40 at the end of 3 quarters. But someone told Marion it was behind and they woke up in time to score 19 points to Kokomo's 5 points to take this win. It seems like we have just enough gas to get to the filling station but not enough to get to the tanks to fill up. We need to figure out why we are running out of gas before we get to our destination, which in this case a win in the game. Our LadyKats played well but just couldn't finish without waking up the sleeping giant. Each game is a learning tool to help in the next one, and we need to find out where our problems are and get it fixed before tourney time.
The Marion Giants won this game 59 to 52, and Kokomo lost for the 3rd straight game.

KOKOMO AT PERU
Well, the weather didn't stop our Ladykats from going to The Tiger Areana in Peru to play their game. This one was all Kokomo as our ladies found out how to play a whole game, taking the lead from get go and maintaining it for 32 minutes. I don'y usually pick any one player for good play because this is team basketball, but today we need to change my rules a little. The Drake express got going fast in this game and scored 26 points while getting several rebounds and several assists. In this game she only had 1 turnover. A great performance out of Drake. The ladies underneath, Hopkins & Zunick had 17 points, & 12 rebounds between them. Aelleon Woodard had 14 points & seven rebounds.Cotton had 8 assists, which proved very valuable to team play. Scoring at the stops were 14 to 8 at 1st stop, 36 to 16 at halftime, 51 to 23 at the 3rd quarter mark and 73 to 37 the final score. On this night, Kokomo might of gotten back on the winning track but they still have to find out how to close a game in which they led for 3 quarters. They can do it with team play, desire to win, and all around gut playing. They don't play again until after the holidays and with practice,rest and emotion, we might start to see our ladies getting ready fot tourney time. The score of tonights game was Kokomo 73--Peru 37

RICHMOND AT KOKOMO
The Richmond Lady Red Devils came to the home of the Kokomo LadyKats at Memorial Gym to try to get a win against our ladies, and when the Junior Varsity took the floor, our Junior Varsity players had no problem disposing of them early in the game.. Our JV team won their game easily by the score of 43 to 16. So when the varsity game got underway, most of us in attendance figured that this would be a cakewalk. Richmond never did get into the game fully as only one of their players took it on her own shoulders to take the ball right to our LadyKats and for awhile that hurt us. But in the second half, our player "Cotton" took the job of sticking right on the Richmond Player "Kim Demmings" and that put the game back in the favor of our LadyKats who played with some emotion today and really did well. Defense played a big factor in this game and team play on the offensive side did well although they really need to concentrate more on their free throw shooting.

Kokomo won this game by the score of 64 to 39.giving them the win in North Central Conference action.

LAFAYETTE JEFF AT KOKOMO
Lafayette sent their Broncos to Kokomo to tame our LadyKats and our ladies did not horse around taking the ball right at Jeff. After our Junior Varsity took care of their game without any problems, it was a real pleasure to sit there on this rainy Tuesday evening and watch a game that tonight was all Kokomo. It was chilly where we sat but not too chilly on the floor as our guards started putting up the three pointers and our high and low players taking care of the boards in case of a missed shot. A.Woodard is coming on and she is doing the job. Kelly is intimating under the basket and she gets doubled teamed a lot. What can you say about Kelcey? She had her looks tonight and she came through with some great shots from behind the line. Kayla gave it her all, being everywhere on the floor looking for the Jeff team to make mistakes. The fast break tonight was about as good as we have seen it all year. Our subs came in and played great. The scores at the stops were 17 to 10, 36 to 19,55 to 37, and finally 75 to 59 , all in favor of our LadyKats. We ruled the rebounds and we did commit 21 turnovers but that happens a lot when you go all out to make a fast break work. All in all, this writer was very satisfied with the way this game was played by our Lady WildKats. "KEEP UP THE GREAT PLAY & GO LADYKATS"
January 12, 2008 {HOME GAME}
NEW CASTLE AT KOKOMO
This afternoon, we took on New Castle, and right from the getgo, this day was going to belong to our LadyKats. The Junior Varsity started off this meeting with a 16 to 0 run that just about took New Castle completely out of the game. At the half, the JVs still led 29 to 8. This was a great look at what we will have in waiting next year as these ladies dished out to the open man, made a lot of 3 pt shots and ball hawked all the game. The Junior Varsity took this game by the score of 47 to 23.

Then the varsity took the floor and right away New Castle put some points on the board with their 3 point shots. Our LadyKats led at the 1st stop, 20 to 16, but in the second quarter started pulling away with good ball handling, good selection of shots and downright guts in taking the ball right at New Castle. This game was about the best we have seen for quite a while with team play and good defensive play, and improvement at all positions.
The Varsity won this game 72 to 49.  Nice way to spend a saturday afternooon watching our LadyKats play ball."
Great game LadyKats. Keep it going."

KOKOMO AT MCCUTCHEON
A cold night to travel for our ladies tonight, but they did, as they went into McCutcheon teritory, to play McCutcheon who always seems to have strong teams in basketball. Our ladies took it right at McCutcheon, scoring 19 points in the 1st quarter with McCutcheon only putting 11 points on the board. The 2nd quarter and the 3rd were about even with Kokomo still holding a 5 point lead. But our ladykats put the game away in the 4th using team play, good defense and offense to seal the victory. Our LadyKats won the game by the score of 55 to 45. It needs to be said that winning a game on McCutcheon's home floor says a lot for our program which is blending into a great team concept. No reason to bring forth names as these ladies did their job well.
"GREAT GAME, LADYKATS".

KOKOMO AT CHICAGOLAND CLASSIC
Kokomo versus Warren, Illinois
Our Ladies went to the "big city by the lakes" to play in the Chicagoland Classic, and they took on Warren High School of Illinois which is a team ranked high in Illinois and which has a lot of height and speed. Our LadyKats right away started a little sluggish falling behind by 11 points after 4 minutes. But they made some runs and at the first break was only behind by 6 points. Using good shot selection and all around guts, our Ladies put it in high gear and took 28 to 24 halftime lead into the locker rooms. The 3rd quarter saw both teams playing about even, but in the 4th, Warren put their game in another gear, and this game was a close one right to the end with Warren coming out on top by the score of 51 to 49. This was a great showing by our ladies, as here in this Classic, you get more knowledge, and you gain from this type of a gathering. We would like to have won the game but we did win in that the experience will help us down the line. LadyKats, we are proud of you and we await the next game here in this Classic before heading back to Kokomo.

KOKOMO AT CHICAGOLAND CLASSIC
Kokomo versus Ignatius, Illinois
Another game in The Chicagoland Classic for our ladies as they came, they played and they won, beating Ignatius of Illinois by the score of 63 to 51. Ignatius went into a zone to protect the inside, but Drake took them out of it by hitting her 3 pointers. Then as Ignatius changed to a man to man defense, that opened the inside and A. Woodard did her game. This was a hard fought game between both teams with a combination of tough referrees calling the game. Our LadyKats led by only one point going into the 4th quarter but took the ball right at Ignatius by scoring 21 points and securing the win. As it is with each year that Kokomo plays in this Classic, they gain experience, and confidence that can be used down the way in tourney time.Great showing of Lady WildKat basketball by our ladies from Kokomo. "Keep it going LadyKats and great job in the "Big City".

KOKOMO AT FRANKFORT
Heading west to Frankfort to take on the Lady Hotdogs, our ladies were hot off the Chicagoland Classic and they were not through taking it out on another opponent. Riding high off that trip that was a 1 lost and 1 win weekend, and a whole lot of experience, the Lady Wildkats were ripe for a great game and they showed it. The Drake Express was back and she scored 28 points, ball-hawked all game and even taking off a lot of rebounds. Zunick came off the bench to play a great game scoring points and rebounding well.Cotton and Woodard both put some points on the board. Ackison put in a solid game going against a press by Frankfort and she put out several valuable assists. After a usual solid 1st quarter, our ladies put in a great 2nd and 3rd quarters to put their lead to 51 to 32. But those pesky hotdogs didn't give up that easy as they came back within 4 points before our ladies put it away at the free throw line. All told, our ladies did what was expected of them and that is using good team play to once again take home a victory.  Great game tonight. THe final score of this game was 69 to 58 in favor of The Kokomo Lady WildKats.

KOKOMO AT ANDERSON
It was the final conference game of this season for our LadyKats, and they wanted to be back at the top with a share of the NCC Crown. And they did it with one of their best games of the season, as they went right at Anderson with "The Drake Express" leading the way. Anderson kept Kokomo at bay leading at half-time by the score of 26 to 21. Kokomo turned up the heat, and by the end of the 3rd quarter, they were within one point. Once we took the lead, it was "spread the floor time" and Anderson came out to get them and put the LadyKats on the free throw line, giving them the chance to use the free throw practice, that they go through each week. The LadyKats put this game in the book by hitting most of those free throws and the rest is history as our LadyKats have gotten back to the top in the NCC and they used team play along with valuable experience to put this game away. Playing the game of basketball, you have to practice, put your best game on the floor and you need the team concept, so that at any time one of them can step up and lead the team. The LadyKats took this game by the score of 64 to 57. They share the NCC Championship with Anderson and Logansport. Great Game LadyKats, and lets do the same in the next game against North Central  "GO KOKOMO LADY WILDKATS"

NORTH CENTRAL AT KOKOMO
With a chance of a bad winter storm coming, this game was played with the safety net of retreating to safer grounds if needed. It was a soaking rain with sleet and winds over 50 miles a hour. But that doesn't stop LadyKat basketball, especially "Senior Night" right here in Kokomo Indiana. The Junior Varsity got things underway with their game and both teams just couldn't seem to have enough to win this game. After a low scoring 1st quarter 4 to 2, the teams played even unti the 3rd quarter when North Central led 21 to 10. The final score was 32 to 27 in favor of North Central ,sending the LadyKat Junior Varsity to their third loss while winning 15 games. The Varsity took the floor and North Central handled them pretty well in posting a 1st quarter lead of 11 to 9. The game was tied at the half at 22 each.The 3rd quarter was more of the same as it ended with our ladies leading 31 to 30. In the 4th quarter we had many chances to put this game away but we just couldn't get over the top and stay there as North Central had a lot of guts and speed , and was able to stay neck and neck with us. While missing very crucial free throws, that would of put this game away, our ladies still would not give up and with some heads up defense and down-right guts, our Ladykats were finally able to win this game against the 5th ranked North Central. Our LadyKats finished the regular season with a 15 win season and now they prepare for the sectionals at Logansport. That sectional will be a tough one to win, as come around tourney time, all the teams seem to peak.  Kokomo won this game by the score of 43 to 40.
Now let's get ready to rumble at Logansport where Kokomo has the bye.
Great season, LadyKats and win some more.
"STARTING THE ISHAA TOURNAMENT FOR 2008"
THE LOGANSPORT SECTIONAL

KOKOMO versus McCUTCHEON

It's Tourney time for girls' basketball in Indiana and our Lady WildKats took the floor to play McCutcheon who had previously beaten Harrison in the 1st game of The Logansport Sectional. Kokomo had received a bye and if they can win this game, they will play Logansport for the Sectional Championship. This game, like about all tourney games, just did not bring the best out of either team as this was a night of poor shooting. Kokomo led most of this game and really looked like there would be no problem winning it. But as tourney games go, McCutcheon had to dig way deep into their guts to try and win this game and it turned into a final quarter of dong whatever they could to pull it out. They made several steals and they fouled several times. This was "win or go home" and they didn't want to see their season end so quickly. But Kokomo stayed in their game plan, although at several stages, they did not take care of the ball, and they almost paid for it. But our Lady Kats were able to make some important free throws by making 9 out of 10 at the line to close this game out. The seniors were very important in this game, and they get another chance to keep their high school season going. On a night when the three shot was not falling, , our LadyKats won this game by the score of 50 to 39. The game was a lot closer than the score indicates. Now it is time to take a deep breath, let it out,get out the game plan and take on Logansport in what might be a hotly contested contest, because both teams want to go on to the next game.
Come on, LadyKats, let's get ready to rumble.

KOKOMO versus LOGANSPORT

This was for all the marbles in this Logansport Sectional, and our LadyKats wanted this one so bad they could taste it. The game started out with Logansport going into a zone to make Kokomo have to shoot outside. Kokomo went into their man to man defense when Logansport had the ball. Our shots were not falling like they should of and a lot of 3 pointers were attempted. When we were able to go inside to the basket, we made some good plays but we also didn't take care of the ball. Woodard and Hopkins worked well taking care of the boards, and Kelcey handled the floor well, looking for the open man. Cotton made some nice moves toward the basket and Drake tried several shots from way out before getting the jump on her defender and going inside. Loganspot just really was not in this game because of all the errors they made. You have to give the credit to Kokomo for that because of their defense.
At the first quarter mark, Kokomo led 12 to 6, and at the half it was 18 to 10. Kokomo maintained their lead throughout the game although it got a little scary when Logansport pulled within 3 points late in the game. Kokomo, with their great defense won this game , on a night when their shooting wasn't that good. Next week when they go against Carroll of Allen County in the Huntington Regional, and they better bring that defense with them and get their shots to fall.Carroll has a good team and they will play to win.
So will we.
Kokomo won this sectional by the score of 35 to 28
Good job LadyKats, in winning back the sectional. Now lets get ready to really rumble at the regional.

THE HUNTINGTON REGIONAL

Semi- Final Game of The Huntington North Regional,
"Kokomo versus Carroll of Allen County"
Our Kokomo Lady WildKats took on The Carroll Chargers in semi-final matchup to determine who was to play Fort Wayne South in the final. Our ladies took it right at Carroll and never looked back. The three pointers did not fall for our ladies but the defense stood up and roared it's head as Kokomo took a 11 to 2 first quarter, added to the lead at the half 21 to 9, added some more at the 3rd quarter mark at 30 to 14 ,and won at 42 to 27. Our LadyKats clamped on a dominating man to man defense and at one time in the game, had a 20 point lead. They pressured and that led to turnovers by Carroll, who also had a terrible shooting game. This was a team win with all the players giving their all to get one more win so that they could play Fort Wayne who waits in the shadows. Another well coached team, playing a great game for their fans. Kokomo won this game 42 to 27, with guts, team concept and fan support.

Final Game of The Huntington North Regional
Kokomo versus Fort Wayne South Our Lady Wildkats have made it to the final of this regional playing good solid defense spiced with great team concept, and they tooked on Fort Wayne South in a game of two great resumes of great team legasy, playing for the right to play one more game. Kokomo started off on a bad note as they were behind by 6 points right off the bat and it was a night of trying to climb back on top, but even though they fought hard, they just could not get over the hill built by Fort Wayne. Fort Wayne had a good night helped by our Kats who were called for 32 fouls. Can you believe the number of foul shots that Fort Wayne took in that 4th quarter, making enough to take our Kats out of the whole picture. Kokomo had a good 2nd and 3rd quarter, but this night just wasn't supposed to go our ladies way. They fought a good game, had a great defensive game, but they had to play Fort Wayne's game and being behind, many times the defense will cause fouls and that is what happened tonight. Fort Wayne probaly played the best game of their season on this night when it was win or go home. This game ended with Fort Wayne winning by the score of 62 to 54. Our LadyKat season is over for this year, but in the shadows of time, there waits another Kat team ready to play next season. It has been fun this year and our LadyKats did us all proud with this season. Thanks Ladies for all the fun of watching you play.

"OUR SENIOR SALUTE"
